Day 37 -Fun Continues at Jake's

Beautiful day today - bright sun, temp in the 70s, lowish humidity.  My morning walk took me to downtown North Cohocton (!). Jake's post office is Atlanta, but the property is in No. Cohoctan. After a lazy morning, Kellie went to fix the pool at her rental house and the rest of us piled into our VW and headed for Canadaigua, one of the most beautiful towns in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Lots of new lakeside development going on, great parks, beautiful homes.

On the way over we stopped at one of Jake's friends to fix a broken four wheeler and hung around in the old barn for a bit - a great collection of really old stuff and half finished projects. Outside we visited a new calf.

The prize, though, is they have a Wegman's! For the unintiated, Wegman's is a regional grocery store that is magnificent, nothing like in out where we live! Unbelievable selections, massive foodcourt with hot choices, salads by the pound, pizza, you name it. Dining outside in the courtyard. There just a few things we needed to restock our travelling supplies.

When we returned home, it was time to play! Riding four wheelers around the yard, trying out the canoe for the first time, and teaching the dog to swim - a spectacular success!

After dinner fishing in the pond, all sorts of explosives for the 4th and, of course, smores over the fire pit!

Thoughts, Observations and Conclusions

Fifty days, 11,175 miles! WOW! And it all went according to plan - on time and on budget! My favorite places: Medora, ND Bar Harbo...
