Day 11 - Branson to Memphis

We got a late start this morning, had to visit the Branson Christmas Shop first! We drove about 300 miles, along a secondary road across north Arkansas, through such little burgs as Flippin, Gassville, Gepp, Ash Flat, Imboden, Hoxie, Bono and Marked Tree. All the bodies of water around here are flooding, apparently some serious rainfall this spring. We came down out of the Ozarks into some luscious looking agricultural land. Lots of corn and various unidentifiable crops.

We crossed the Mississippi and on through Memphis. Our hotel is on the far side of Memphis and we didn't have time to explore the city.

VW did 49 mpg today!  (OK, it was mostly downhill!)

Thoughts, Observations and Conclusions

Fifty days, 11,175 miles! WOW! And it all went according to plan - on time and on budget! My favorite places: Medora, ND Bar Harbo...
